June 14, 2009 - After a two-race hiatus from the series, TeamBRE and Tony Buffomante returned to grab their first series victory in the Ford Racing Mustang Challenge on Sunday at Mosport International Raceway in Bomanville, Ontario.
After missing the promoter test day due to previous commitments, Buffomante quickly got up to speed during the official practice sessions on Saturday. After finishing the day 3rd on the time sheets, the team picked up solid qualifying run on Sunday to slot-in on the inside of the second row. At the start of the race, Buffomante snuck by the top two drivers as they made contact in Turn 2. Being chased by Jason von Kluge for the 26 lap event, Buffomante went flag-to-flag for the victory over series points leader Andrew Caddell and Jason von Kluge.
